BIOOM was founded to close the gap between what your dog feels and what your vet can see. We combine veterinary medicine, microbiome science and Belgian engineering to make gut health understandable — for everyone with a dog.

Help every dog live a longer, more comfortable life by making advanced microbiome diagnostics accessible, affordable and easy to act on at home.
How BIOOM started
After years of seeing the same chronic digestion, skin and behaviour issues in clinic — without clear answers — our founders teamed up with a Belgian sequencing lab to build a test owners could actually use. The first BIOOM kit shipped from Ghent in 2025.
The team
We are veterinarians, microbiologists, bioinformaticians and designers, based between Ghent and Antwerp. Our scientific work is reviewed by an independent advisory board of academic vets.
